New definition: Forest enterprise
Following a revision, the term 'forest enterprise' has been redefined. Only units which have a sufficiently large forest area, rights of disposal to the area and consolidated accounting are considered to be forest enterprises. The minimum surface area for a forest enterprise is defined differently depending on the forest area in which it is located:
- Jura 200 ha
- Central Plain 150 ha
- Prealps 250 ha
- Alps/Southern Alps 500 ha
Comments
This cube continues the data from the 2004-2014 cube with a new statistical population. Both cubes have only limited comparability.
Data regarding to forest surface can lightly differ to the surface from « Forest area in Switzerland, in ha » because of different methods for calculation.
